The only problem I have with this new JL is that aquaman is the king of atlantis or some shit? NO, the only thing aquaman should be doing is getting his sorry ass captured at LEAST 3 times per episode. This is theoretically the reason why he wore orange and was weak.

I liked the idea of this "unlimited roster" thing, but there are obvious drawbacks.
Some superheroes that you like, will be around for only one episode, maybe two a season. Others will be regulated to the "one punch" category, where they will only be allowed to be shown during a bigass beatdown on some supervillan or group.
This did give me the tingles when I saw the commercial though....lets see what they have in store.

That's pretty much what the comic is like at times, I'm not saying that I like it but it played out well for the comic.Originally Posted by Gymkata
Dude, Aquaman is pretty damn buff now. He's all dark and moody like, and he's super strong and controls water aparently. Seriously, the new Aquaman is sub-badass.Originally Posted by Valgar
I don't know much about the comic one, but the animated one cut of his own hand. Hardcore.

Premiers tomorrow.
I don't really like the intro but I never liked the one for JL either.

Going through the episode list... Wow so much emphasis is placed on Batman, Wonder Woman, and GL this season.
Not to much the season finale is ANOTHER time travelling episode, come on now.
But some of those episodes sound promising, namely "The Return", where two dozen heroes stop some big ass android.

The animated little cuts during the intro seem a bit out of place. And for a series claiming an unlimited number of heroes why just focus on the 3 characters in the pilot for these cuts: Supergirl,GA,CA? Minor gripe.Originally Posted by Xeno G
Well, another one, why waste an episode and focus on Hawk and Dove. Ill repeat that for emphasis Hawk and DOVE.Give us a Creeper episode or maybe focus on some of those JSA guys I saw in the intro or something....

Caught the premiere earlier tonight. Was pretty good.
Green Arrow did kick some ass in this ep., although I really didnt like his voice. He didnt sound as gruff and rugged as I thought he should have.
I kind of liked the new idea with the multi-leaguers and what seemed to be a govt. funded new JLA headquarters. (Just assuming, seeing as they had multiple Javelins, a team of scientists/doctors for the Cap., and crewchiefs to launch out the Javelins) I guess it makes more sense as a HQ as big as this new one would be a bit hard for just a handful of Leaguers to run.
Story was decent and the action fast paced without sacrificing the characterization. Surprisingly there was enough and the episode didnt seem rushed for half an hour.Although I didnt get how Arrow was able to stop the walking Nuke with half of the rod. Didnt they need to put all of them in that thing?
I also liked the way Bats was trying to convince GA to join up. Seems he is getting tired of being the only non-superpowered hero among the bunch.
Anyways this series should be good and I look forward to seeing the rest........ minus the Hawk and Dove one![]()
Each Episode will have a semi-custom opening. The "clips" will be unique.Originally Posted by Jetman
I thought the pilot was pretty good. I hope later episodes will have better story lines and deeper villains but as far as action and dialog went I have no complaints. It's on again tomorrow at 5pm if anyone missed it tonight and still wants to watch.
