Thanks.
I'm a little worried about this season, it seems like the even numbered seasons of this series rock, while the odd numbered ones blow. Here we are in season five, and we already got a super hokey episode about hawkgirl and a stalker. I hope this legion of doom plot pans out as well as the cadmus plot did last season.
Yeah, I was wondering where they were going with that episode. I liked seeing Fire get some time in the first episode though.Originally Posted by Regus
The first episode sucked. Well, with the exception of the Legion of Doom reveal which was a cool parallel to last seasons new League reveal to Green Arrow. But, Fire's annoying voice, along with Flash's shy 10-year old behavior, an old ex-WW II vet. flying an aircraft he kept in his garage to save the League, and robotic flying hammerhead sharks with lasers for eyes made for a pretty lame episode. Really crappy for a season opener.
The Hawkman episode wasnt too bad I guess. I was wondering when Carter Hall would show up in the series.
But, yeah,I need a good [EDIT:Captain Marvel] episode to wash the bad taste of the first episode this season out of my mouth.

I didn't enjoy these eps as much as I had hoped I would. I'm not surprised, though. The way last season ended, I'm not shocked that it's hard to top.
By the way, is that Carter Hall's real story? I haven't read too much into the Thanegarians in the comics but I thought he is a true Thanegarian because in the comics they have artificial wings. Or am I totally wrong?
If I remember right, Carter Hall and Shayera were just normal humans (Egyptian royalty) who came into contact with Thanagarian technology (the wings,N-th Metal, etc.), and were just like reincarnated over the ages as heroes who always had access to that tech., and didnt lose their memory of who they were from the start. But, I dont think they ever were true Thanagarians.Originally Posted by Raz0r

This is what they were working towards the whole time anyway, with the previous seasons. The legion of doom. They just needed to develop the characters enough.
Anyway, to whoever mentioned the last Captain Marvel episode being a disappointment, you must not have read Kingdom Come.
