First a small disclaimer; I wasn't sure about posting this here, so I apologize in advance if it's somehow against the rules. I don't think this is that much different than the free x-box acquiring, plus lots of people can benefit from this. Also let it be known, I'm not trying to advertise any of these ads, I hate AOL especially quite a bit.
Anyway, after googling around a bit it seems like this site for free ipods is perfectly legit. All you have to do to qualify for a free iPod mini (in the color of your choice :b) or 20gb iPod is to sign up for one ad offer (such as the AOL 9.0 free trial) and then get 5 referred friends to do the same.
As evidenced by the other new iPod thread in sound off, there are obviously people interested in such a thing, so if anyone wants to do this for themselves I'd really appreciate it if you'd start off through this referral link:
