It is still interesting to see while the PS2 is still "pwning the xbox" in hardware sales, it is no longer so far a held it cannot have a few games in the top 10. By the numbers you would think that there are only 50% more ps2s than xboxes.

A big difference in the demographic types is probably what is contributing here. "Hardcore gamers"* should be proud that they a making a big difference in these things.

    * ie gamers that want the very best.

  2. Is this surprising considering install base?

    I think not.

I like how if you combine the number of PS2s and GCs you get about how many GBA's are out there. If there really are 5 GBAs for every cube, it really is no wonder N thought games like Christal Chronicals and 4 swords would work.

Why not? The xbox has roughly a tird of the ps2's userbase, yet it sells games comparitively as if it has twice as that(ie has 2/3 of the ps2 userbase). Impressive? I think so.

  5. Why are people still buying Halo?

The number might include units of Halo packaged with the Limited Edition Halo Xbox.

    Plus, Halo is awesome.

  7. Interesting to see MMAC for GC make it on the list

  8. That's awesome that Halo is still selling.

It might be the fact that some people buy multiple copies to play system link.

Can't forget about the best ports out of EVERY multi platform game, which seems to be many games nowadays.

Damn Sony and their faulty systems providing them with more hardware sales. ::curses Sony:: ::runs out and buys new PS2::
