I love puzzle mode but I suck against the computer.....and anyone else I play.
Did anyone ever try this out?
I just picked up a used copy of Chu Chu Rocket for GBA last week and it is definitally one of the best games I have played for the machine. Although I think a lot of the stages are from the Dreamcast version, the puzzle mode kicks ass and has an ungodly number of stages to it.... a ton of which were uploaded to the net back when the Dreamcast version was still alive and well.
Any thoughts on it?

I got it purely for the puzzle mode and it was worth every cent. Admitted that was only $10, but if I'd known how insanely addicting that mode was I'd have gotten it earlier. After all this time I still have barely touched the standard arcade-style game.
Never did beat all the puzzles...

I've been 'borrowing' Tain's for several months. I should probably give it back, but he kind of has my PS2 on permanent loan, so he can't complain much.
I love it quite a bit, and puzzle mode is a great way to pass time in dull classes... If I ever see it for sale anywhere, I'll need to pick up my own copy. Great port.
More customizable, fits in my pocket, and has a shitload of puzzle maps.
This game is sooo much greater than the Dreamcast version.
Tain, you're the first person I've seen put this version above the DC one. What puts it above the DC version as a game? I'll mainly be playing this on the GB player, so would it be worth the $10 or so to snag it when I've got the DC version?

I just really like the added customization. You can edit maps for any mode, unlike the DC version, and you can create object sprites.
Outside of that, it's pretty much the same exact game, only with sprites instead of polygons and at a smaller resolution. Not to mention a massive archive of over a thousand (I believe) fan-made puzzles.
I picked it up for $10 while owning the DC version, and the one-cartridge multiplayer really helps. On the GB player, though, I don't know how well multiplayer would work.
Well, for multi-player, I'll just go with the DC version. I never knew you could create and edit stuff in the GBA version, thanks for that info. I'll definitely snatch this up the next time I see it, as those features would certainly seem to add quite a bit of replay value to the game.

I had a friend pick this up for me at Circuit City for $5... should be getting it from him tomorrow.
