Thread: morrowind and PC specs

  1. morrowind and PC specs

if this has been discussed already, i am sorry.
i am running an Athlon 850 with 384mb of PC133 ram, winXP pro, with a Gforce 2 GTS II (64mb) card
good enough for good graphic quality and steady frame rates? i would be installing it on a Ultra SCSI hdd
    please let me know.

  2. Probably borderline. Note that you need a GeForce 3 or higher or an ATI Radeon to get the very nice pixel-shaded water effects... so you will just have standard-looking water on that setup.

I recommend you visit the official forums and read up on what hardware other people are using.

Don't worry about it. I have a P3-500mhz, Geforce3 Ti200 (64mb), and 384 mb of RAM, and it plays nice. With all the graphics options set around the middle, I get 10 frames per second in towns, 30 in the forests, and 60 indoors. In the bigger towns, it drops to about 5, but then I just drop all the graphics options to the lowest and I get around 10.

    Go for it.
