It was announced in mid 2003 (along with Metal Slug Advance and SNK Vs Capcom for GBA)... nothing's been mentioned since except SNK NeoGeo USA mentioned a US release at E3 this year.

Honestly, I hope they release it as-is. Or if they do anything stupid/major, include original/fixed mode options. I just want KOF 94' on CD so I can sell my AES.

Yup, that should be it... nothing special, but still promising. These are straight from KOF's 10th anniversary site btw, check properties for the link.
Looks like they re-processed the original sprite artwork. Not very...new, per se, but still better choice than leaving them. I always wondered why Capcom never did this, because the original frames of animation weren't drawn at the pixel level. They should have had all the "hi-res" versions of everything on file since forever.

I'm sold on the remake! This is surely better than just reusing Neo-Geo sprites. Now I hope character sprites of similar caliber will be in KOF 2004. Anything less will disappoint. SNK, if you want to recycle these new sprites- you go right ahead.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

King of Fighters Maximum Impact (PS2)

    King of Fighters (N-Gage/mobile)
    King of Fighters A (GBA)
King of Fighters '94 Remake (tba)
    King of Fighters 2004 (AW)
    Any how many actually good?

Personally I wouldn't mind so much if it was a 10 year mix with all the charecters with selectable systems/moves/costumes.

Like pick Kyo, then what year, then whatever else each year entailed (colors ect). Oh and updated/hi-res graphics for all of that. All stages included and online play for the hell of it.

You know something possibly work getting?

  7. yeah, I think it's called KOF Neowave

  8. Neowave only has 36 characters, so it's far from having everyone. I do like that they've included just defence as an option in it, though. But is new animation really all that much to ask?

Yeah, I knew that, my brain just forgot about them when I was typing that.

Holy crap... I want those figures. Having to get all three games to get them, however, sucks.

I remember hearing about the other two, but not that. Makes me wonder what it's going to be like.

We need a new CardFighters Clash.
