Thread: William Shatner: Has Been

  1. Chicken William Shatner: Has Been

William Shatner is No Has Been!

William Shatner is more than just a B list celebrity and sci fi hero, he is a pop sensation, well maybe not yet. The famed "over-acting", Captain Kirk playing icon will be releasing an album entitled Has Been October 5 2004. It "has been" 35 years since he released his debut album. Shatner teams up with Ben Folds for this surprisingly pop driven collection of songs. The songs penned by Shatner, with the exception of “Trying,” co-written by Folds and novelist Nick Hornby (High Fidelity, About A Boy), “Real” by Brad Paisley, and Pulp’s “Common People. The music crafted by Folds and witty and self-deprecating lyrics of Bill Shatner make for a pleasantly poppy listen. Has Been also includes guests such as Aimee Mann, Joe Jackson, Brad Paisley, Henry Rollins, Adrian Belew and more!

    I didn't like Shat's version. Goulet's was good, though.

By the way, Shat's song, "In Love" rules. I'll link it in a few.

  8. Oh man this stuff is awesome, love the Henry Rollins track!
