Thread: TNL Dead Pool

  1. Ninja TNL Dead Pool

Dead Pool Time. These are the rules:

    1) List contains 15 people of your choosing. These have to be known people (Celebrities, Sports Stars, etc), so that any death would be announced as national news of some sorts.

Barring the above, any name will do so long as they are human and are not: Scheduled to be exectued in Jail, missing and presumed dead, knowingly diagnosed with a terminal diesease (Old, ailing and/or sick is fine) or killed by you (Sick bastards).

If you can't think of 15, you can have less, but that would only screw you out of potential points. This list can be modified or ammended at any time prior to start of Pool. Once pool starts your list is locked.

    2) To be in the running a list of 15 names must be posted by August 31st in this thread. Depending on turnout this could be moved back to End of September to start at beginning of October if need be.

    3) Picks are not entirely exclusive. Anyone can put down any names already named by another person, so long as that list doesn't have more than 10 of the same names (Changed from 14 similar to 10 max similar to prevent 10 lists with 14 of the same names and 1 different one). In case of 11 or more exact names on 2 different lists, the first list posted will be valid only.

    4) Points are tabulated in this manner. 125 points - Age of person at time of death. Thus, picking a 90 year old person has a better chance of getting points, but would only get you 35 (125-90), where as a 20 year old person has a lower chance of getting you points, but a much bigger payoff at 105 points.

    5) Pool ends approx 1 year after start and person with the most points at that time is declared winner. I'll keep the points tabulated so long as people bump the thread when points are scored.

    6) If something comes up that is not adressed in the above, I will be the sole judge of valid/invalid names.

List o' Evil Death Giving Bastards:
    93 Points
Tracer (Rodney Dangerfield 43 Points /Yasser Arafat 50 Points)

    73 Points
    Gamevet (Christopher Reeves 73 Points)

50 points (Yasser Arafat 50 Points)
    Gohron
    Wildkat

Rodney Dangerfield: Dead at 82. Points Given: 43

  2. Man, why didn't you do this last year? I totally predicted Katharine Hepburn, Ray Charles, and Ronald Reagan.

  3. Wouldn't that only be like 100 points for all 3, though?

Regardless, I'm sure there are more 90 year old people you can think of.

Heh, yeah, I know they wouldn't have counted for much, but they woulda been something.

  5. So far:
    1) Pope - Old and not a lot of points, but likely.
    2) Courtney Love - More of a wish than anything.
    3) Scott Weiland - Matter of time.

    4) Muqtada al-Sadr - This dude might not even last until it starts.
    5) Bin Laden - Unlikely, but would be a lot of points.

15, huh? I hate to have dupes, but MVS' list has some obvious picks. Here goes:

Muhammad Ali (Does being brain dead count?)
Osama Bin Laden (Kidney disease will get him if a MOAB doesn't)
Jimmy Carter (Clinton represents the lousy Presidents well enough)
KIM Chong-il (His time is coming quickly)
Ali Hoseini-KHAMENEI (It's a race between him and KIM)
Ray Lewis (Hey, he's on the cover of Madden)
    Courtney Love (Karma's a bitch)
Pope John Paul II (Straight to hell with this one)
Saddam Hussein (If he is turned over to Iraq, good bye)

    More to come...

  9. In no particular order:

    Artie Lange
    Bill Cosby
    Sheryl Crow
    Jack McKeon
    Rodney Dangerfield
    Triple-H

More to come as I think of them.

  10. I'll go with

    1) Rodney Dangerfield
    2) Muhammad Ali
    3) Pope John Paul II
    4) Judy Dench (chick that plays M in the Bond flicks)
    5) Saddam Hussein.
    6) Ashley Olsen
    7) Dale Earnhardt Jr.
    8) Harrison Ford
    9) John Goodman
    10) George Steinbrenner III
    11) Anna Nicole Smith
    12) Larry King
    13) Don Imus (he looks like walking death. Good thing no one has to see him on radio)
    14) Bob Dole
    15) Mel Brooks
