are you installing from a legitimate copy? do you have more than one cd drive? is the drive you're installing from listed as the e drive?

deltree /y c: \windows\

ohh sorry, its the other computer that has 3 drives, silly me.
Check the CD for scratches and such. If there's any bad ones (eg; those horribly deep ones you can see at any angle) you might be SOL for installing the game. If not, keep trying it -- eventually the cd drive will read the data from E: and you'll be installing and playing the game. Also, if you've got a CD cleaning tool of some sort run it through your drive to get rid of any contaminants on the lens.
