Thread: I can understand why some people become racist

  1. I dont think that it is the race that you are that determines how you act, its the parents, if they bring you up to be a "thug" then your going to be a thug because you know nothing else, your gonna look for the typical thug bloke/woman and have kids and teach them the same as you have been taught its a never ending cycle. There are of corse a lot of exceptions but thats because they're parents taught them how to treat others with respect.
A bad childhood is also no excuse to turn out like that, it really pisses me off because there are millions of people including me who had a bad childhood, im not a complete phycho.

so what im trying to say is, its the parents fault.

  2. Nope, sometimes its not even parents. To use a cliched expression "It takes a vilage to raise a child" Seeing how large our village is nowadays, its hard to be in controll of what a child gets influenced by. Its not impossible, but it needs more effort than it used to.

The truth is; that every time that this conversation comes up, the best way that it ends is with everyone realizing that problems like this are not easily solved by pointing fingers. It wasnt that way with "videogame violence" and its not that way now. Blame only one source, and you miss everything else.

and to reterate if no one was listening.....

THE THUG PROBLEM IS NOT IN THE SKIN COLOR
I REPEAT NOT IN THE SKIN COLOR

    don't be stupid

  3. Yeah i do see what you mean but the point im trying to get it is a lot of the time it is the parents who teach them how to act, i do appreciatte that there is a lot of things that can influence a child but the biggest thing can be parents.

They're Canadian black people (or as I like to call 'em, Whiteys with Frostbite.) Hockey is like the holy grail to us, or don't you follow the stereotypes.

  5. As much as every would like to say other wise its combination of all things stated above. To me nowadays its mainly parenting. But you can have good parents that provide for you, but live in the middle of harlem where there are other things parents can't provide you with, thus tempting the young and some what ignorant to all the BS that seem like gold to them. this can take place in any town usa...that's what I have witnessed for every good person I grew up with there are at least 3 that went bad in prison, doing the thug thing or dead. It's sad.

  6. I live in central Wisconsin and I find it FUCKING HILARIOUS when I see anybody acting like a thug. I'm like, "YOUR IN FUCKING WISCONSIN YOU DIPSHIT"!!!

Heres a good story I got from my friend who's an electrician.

These white guys (electricians) were on the job in Milwaukee. One of the guys is just huge. Some little 5 year old black kid walks up to the big guy and says he like his shoes. Then the kid says "Give me your fucking shoes". The guys laugh like the kids joking, but he's not. He threatens them some more saying he wants the big guys fucking shoes. Of course they tell the kid to fuck off before they punt his ass down the street.

What the fuck is wrong with these people that teach their kids this shit? Goddamn amazing world we live in.
Korly-"Everyone here is an asshole, SURPRISE!"

  7. It's not gonna get any better, that's for sure.

  8. I remember a few years ago, I was walking down my block and I see these two little boys about 5 or 6 fist fighting. I was thinking, "wtf? Lemme go stop them," but I heard two women cheering. It turned out to be their MOTHERS. One was even saying, "You better not pussy out! If you fucking pussy out I ain't feeding ya."

    Okay. . .

I totally disagree with that statement. I am a Puerto Rican who was born and raised by a loving and supportive family in the Bronx. All hispanics I know treat their children very well.

I assume you say that due to experience but I'm sure you understand that most hispanics are not like that at all. Hispanics are not bad when it comes to treating children...neither are blacks, whites, asians...etc. It all comes to parents/children who are in destructive relationships as well as living in a poor learning and living environment.
