I hope that low price tag induces people to buy this game. Because I don't want to be the first.
I'm freaking STUNNED that this game is being released over here at all, much less a price point of $19.99. The last console based Daisenrakyu game that was released in the U.S. was Iron Storm for the Saturn. Wow.
Edit: Sorry, missed previous thread.
Adding: I don't think this is a remake of either Daisenrakyu for the DC. I bought the Xbox import a while back and it wasn't the same as either version that was released for the DC.

If it's as good as Advance Wars then I'm in. Just give me that piece of info.
Aren't you into Koei strategy games? You should be used to that by now.Originally Posted by StriderKyo

Have you watched the video? It could be good, but it also looks like it could end up being drab, long and repetitive. Just going by the impressions:Originally Posted by Saint of Killers

Good!
- the game really isn't as complex as it looks and actually has quite a lot in common with Nintendo's Advance Wars titles on the Game Boy Advance
Not good! It seems very much from the Nectaris school of design which is cool, and I know everyone loves AW, but that's a game that's designed to be quick to pick up. I need some meat on the bone if I'm going to sit in front of my couch through:
- no fewer than 112 campaign missions, as well as a skirmish mode and a map editor
And then there's this:
Unfortunately, at least in our work-in-progress version of the game, the visuals in said animations leave a lot to be desired and wouldn't have looked out of place in a 1995 PlayStation launch title.
Sure, Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII didn't have half the visual excitment this game does in terms of animations, but Koei games make up for it in personality and I don't know how much of that Daisenryaku has. Not writing the game off by any means, just not an instant purchase. I'll wait to see what the impressions of the final are like first.

Evidently Working Designs looked into picking this one up awhile back... they thought it was too low quality though, especially when compared to Iron Storm. :/
Bah, that's a bunch of horseshit. They probably wouldn't have gotten it finished before the Xbox 3 launch. :P
