Agreed, but you know what, Erikson won't get fired because their prick of an owner doesn't give a fuck about the team, he just wants the taxpayers over there to pay for a new stadium. He's someone who shouldn't be allowed to own an NFL team - I hope someone mauls his business minded FUCK FUCK godamned worthess ass.Originally Posted by Saint of Killers

In the NFC, 7-4 is pretty much a lock for the playoffs.
Anyone in Seattle want to come with me to the next Seahawks Live! show and help me convince these guys that they don't even look like they're playing? Sure, they watch the game tape and all that, but it's as if they stopped caring about football when the Rams came back. Looked slow 1st half of NE game, all of Arizona game, 1st half of 2nd StL game, 2nd half of MIA game and all of BUF game. Hasselback, even before his injury, didn't seem sharp (even though his numbers would really be pretty good if his receivers could hold onto the ball), all the WRs *EXPECT* to drop the ball when it comes their way, Shaun's had good games but even when you watch him break a big run he's coming through the hole pretty slowly (but maybe some of that is patience waiting for it to open), the DBs cover tight sometimes but lay off most of the time because they're afraid they're going to get burned and have another StL collapse.
I really thought that the INT against Miami at the end of the game was going to turn their season arround. I was so excited for the next game. But they came out and played just as poorly and made the Bills look great. Yeah, the NFC is weak. But I've seen them on their A game, and I'll go so far as to say that them on the A game is amazing and only beatable if the other team gets a few breaks. They really are good. Hasselbeck is (was?) very accurate, the trio of WRs are very athletic, the two TEs aren't slouches, RB is fantastic, the defense is fast, the secondary is physical. I just don't get it.
They can't keep all the guys around for next year. And I don't think Holmgren isas intense as he used to be, and that's part of the problem. I thought that if they didn't make it to the NFC title game, he'd be the scapegoat and get the chop (plus I think he and the GM aren't on good terms right now). But these guys aren't getting ready to play. Maybe he is a big part of the problem.
I think I jinxed them. I said they were among my favorites in the NFC. Well, look at my other favorite teams. Texans, Saints, Titans. Not to say I thought New Orleans or Houston would make the playoffs (well, it is never out of the question in the NFC South, beholden to some of the worst teams to ever win or make it to the super bowl).
Actually, mentioning the Saints, I'd say they're afflicted just as your Seahawks. Good team that plays badly. Of course, Holmgrin has done well in the past, Hasslet never has (the one coach who most desperatly needs to be fired). The real tragedy here is that there are teams I consider poor that have been stealing some wins left and right (Atlanta Fucking Falcons) and are simply doing better in the W/L coloumn than they have a right to.

More proof he's on a level of his own right now. If they had en even mediocre defense, they'd easily be undefeated.
