Diablo 3 should it happen

Im bringing this back to peoples attention, as alot of rumors are going around about Blizzard not completely shelving the idea.

A few of the pros from Blizzards point of view..

Massive user base.

A world there and ready to be expanded upon.

Could be a huge earner for Blizzard, who can't really call themselves rich.

Negatives from blizzards point of view..

The people who made this game don't work for blizzard anymore, and blizzard has the rights to it.

Might be something they have done and want to leave as is.

Ideas everywhere

Heres a few scenarios I've heard, one supposedly by blizzard the other me

Supposedly blizzard The arch-angel Tyreal created the soul stones and the world stone, so he could eventually create a gate to hell... this would allow hell to flow straight into sanctuary and obliterate it..

Sounds to me like someone made this one up, but who knows

My idea

Firstly set the game in the late 16th century, a time when flintlock and cannon were comming into fashion, but the old ways still persisted. Would be a great time period I think...

My idea. After the 3 prime evil's where banished from earth, the lesser demons Azmodan and Belial scheemed and dealed a new invasion plan, after discovering that rips in the fabric of space and time where growing between sanctuary and the pits of hell. The two demons prepare for war, arming their troops and preparing them for the final chapter of the Sin War....

Okay your probably saying you have heard it all before, but heres my twist.. You can either be rightous or evil (people have mentioned this online already, but I have craved been the bad boys for ages:P Tie fighter days heheh)

You could choose for instance a vile lancer(amazon type) an Abyss Knight(Paladin type) A balrog (much much larger barb) and so on, I'll let you guys think about the others, maybe create some seperate classes...

The goal for good would be - Destroy Belial and Azmodan
The goal for evil would be - Destroy Tyreal and eventually the almighty himself. (the christian parents would really hate this lol)

I would call the game Diablo 3 - Eve of Oblivion.....

What do you guys think, I have this whole game already in my head if you like it Blizzard, take my ideas please!!! I wanna play a new diablo

Yeah, I would definately be happy if Diablo 3 would actually happen.

I was, and still am a huge fan of the original and D2, and even bigger world, ability to play on both sides, new character classes would have been dream come true.

Anyway, if you want to play something a lot like Diablo 3, just play World of Warcraft.

Diff, While WOW is shaping up good, and it is from Blizzard, universes created in either game are quite different. They are trying to incorporate some classes and ideas from Diablo into WOW, but straight online Diablo game, set in expanse D world would have been better (at least to me), and I love Warcraft games as well.

World of Warcraft basically plays just like Diablo. If you want to play a game in the Diablo universe... TS. At least for now.

Another Diablo game?

Just what I need, another game to throw 300 hours into and then tell everyone how much I hate it.

Whatever the case, if they do another Diablo they should eliminate all of the "runs"(Y'know: Baal/Cow/Meph/Blood/etc etc). Make it more like Phantasy Star Online in that you don't have a better chance at scoring good rares from easily accessible bosses and instead you could just as easily run into some excellent weapon/armor/charm/etc in a dark corner of some cave in the middle of nowhere. Maybe it's just me but I get tired of playing two-minute long games(Even though I don't mind the experience/goodies at all).
Anyway..
My ideas(that suck)
-More inventory space. Less mule-characters.
-Better character balance. 1.10 brought some good changes but Sorcs and Zons are still pretty much top-tier. This isn't such a big deal in co-op(Free Experience!) but in duels it gets ridiculous.
-Better skill balance. Make it so that pretty much every skill in the game never becomes obsolete. Once again 1.10 added some much needed improvements in this area(The idea of giving extra damage to multiple skills with points in them was brilliant, even if it did mess up characters made prior)
-Level requirements on all types of equipment. This is more of a nitpick than anything else but eh..
-Generate a bigger interest in the main quest for multiplayer. Granted on my first couple characters I actually bothered with sticking it out through the entire game, but later on it got tiring and basically I just slipped into games looking for fast rides straight to the Bloody Hills. A number of fixes have been made to prevent this sort of thing but I imagine the better idea is just to make the main parts more compelling and not so much a bunch of lousy fetchquests(Act 2 & 3 are terrible in this regard, even though doing some of them net you nice stat bonuses). Or they could take the easy way out and eliminate waypoints, but I don't like that idea.

Everything else is just more stuff. Level 200 cap, more skills, more character classes, bigger world, more of everything.

So oh well..I guess it won't matter since Diablo 3 would fall under the "Games in the Future I have pledged not to play."
