felony animal cruelty charges.....does that mean he will go to prison, or face a huge fine, or what?

they ought to neuter that guy, and even then it still wouldnt be close to fair. maybe torture....
Hard to say...animal cruelty laws differ from state to state. From what I've seen, though, most offenders basically get off with a slap on the wrist. He'll certainly get a fine. He might do some time also, but he won't do much.

  5. So, I gather nearly everyone in this thread is vegetarian ? Or would it have been better is the guy intended to eat them instead of disposing of them ?

  6. yes, but killing them served no purpose what-so-ever. Also with other animals killed for meat, it is done in a more humane manner, not being shot in the head at point blank range, and their death serves a purpose, as we need their meat. That is how the food chain works. But killing a dog has no purpose, and killing 3 month old puppies is just terrible

The puppies' lives could have been saved by giving them away to people, or a dogs home; he could even have sold them and made a profit!

After a quick googling, animals in slaughterhouses are either stunned to death or rendered unconscious (through electricity or gas) prior to being bled to death / shot in the head with a nailgun ... Though is it difficult to find a site not run but vegetarians on the subject.

I don't see the differences between a puppy and say, a lamb or a calf. But I've never eaten puppy, so maybe the meat is not that good
