Maybe I could mail the CD's to you, but they're all Macfonts anyway.

There are two programs you can use to convert Mac Fonts to PC Fonts, but unfortunately they are not free.

I use Transtype to convert my friend's Mac Fonts into PC Fonts. He works for a magazine with a Mac. Knowing that he has a boatload of good fonts, I asked him to burn a CD for me. The program is worth checking out if you can get your hands on Mac Fonts (it also does PC to Mac font conversion). It's pricey, but since I need it for my webmaster freelance gig, I can write it off as a business expense.

Also, unless the Mac Fonts were formatted to be read on a PC, you will need an additional program called MacDrive. This program allows you to read any Mac files and disks without any special conversion. After I realized that I couldn't read the font files off my friend's CD with my PC laptop, I had to get this program to begin the font exodus.

Comic Sans comes free with windows and looks pretty good to me.

Thought Fury's entry was really good. The art was excellent, and while the story was weak it was enough to hold the whole thing together. It did seem a little too much like a small segment of a much larger story though, and not even the start of it, which might be why it was rejected. I've seen manga similar to it so it's not mangaish enough or anything like that. Though if you ask me if I would buy a volume of it I'd probably say no because for me the main thing would be the story, but I'm very picky when it comes to that. Why I haven't bought any manga or comics in a long time.

If you plan on trying again, I'd suggest not really worrying about being self-contained, but concentrating on doing something that's more like the start of a character's story, rather than somewhere in the middle like this feels. To be vaguely cliche, the event that change's the character's otherwise normal life into the more adventure driven life they end up in. Would give the reader a better chance to get to know the character, and then would be on board with them for what happens to them. Here, I feel distanced, and almost as if it's assuming I know these characters right from the start when I obviously don't. If that makes any sense.

Well they are doing it all over again. I have no artistic ability but I"m a hell of a writer. If I can find someone who can pencil my script then I'm pretty sure I have a shot.

Dolemite is apparently a good writer. Dolemite's writing + Fury Fox's character design and illustration style = win. You two need to put down your bad blood and start working together to dominate this competition. I know you don't really have any bad blood, but my point still stands.
