Compared to real fighting games, Def Jam is terrible. It's better left in the realm of wrestlers.

It's not as technical, deep, or seriously competitive as even Dead or Alive. Not to mention the really good fighters.

  4. lets keep this title in the realm of "pit fighter goodness" before mark causes a stink in this thread too

Yeah what's going on here? Do we need/want MarkRyan in this thread?

Anyone yes indeed this game is funky fresh. I've been changing my look some 20 odd times and I'm going for as much bling as possible(Just upgraded to Platinum earlier). 33% and still going strong, it only takes me like a combo and a half to go blazing, if only my character had more strength matches would end in less than 10 seconds. Oh and of course Lil-Kim is my girlfriend, shame though like in part one you only see her for certain cut-scenes and fights.

  7. It seems to be a GOOD 3D Pit Fighter, so I'm pleased with how it plays. The only time I remember it's based on a wrestling game is when I see the old Aki animations used, which STILL kills Yukes' current stuff. When this drops to $30 or so, I'll snatch it up.

I had more trouble with a 2 on 2 match (with my partner starting at 1/2 health) right before the end that I did with Snoop at very end.
Yup. Got 100% last night, but I still don't have all of the fighters unlocked, and there are a bunch of trophies I haven't gotten yet.

  9. So uhh..How do you counter grapples? I only played for about 10 minutes last night and I couldn't figure it out. It doesn't say in the tuturial and as mentioned the instruction manual is pretty worthless.

Tap punch or kick as soon as you see them grab for you. You can't counter, as far as I know, when you're stunned.

And my point wasn't to bash the game. I was simply giving my input on calling this more of a fighting game than a wrestling game.
