Thread: The Good Day Thread

  1. I watched Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, and it was fricking awesome.

see what ruined it in the bad day thread.

  2. Yesterday, was, fantastic.

Woke up at 11 and had BANANA BREAD for breakfast. Yum. Then proceeded to play Super Mario Bros. 3 on my new SNES for about three hours. Addicting, yes. Then went out to Best Buy with my best friend and bought some CDs and the fabulous movie 'Coffee and Cigarettes'. Proceeded to go to Cafe Hookah and had some lunch and hookah. Was hook-tastic.

Came home and played Beyond Good and Evil for a good two hours. Then slept.

For me, that's a good day, because I haven't turned on my TV and sat in my big poof chair for two months so it was INCREDIBLY relaxing.

  3. Public Holiday yesterday, so instead of going to work I played ninja gaiden for 10 hours, and then black arrow for 4.

  8. How do you manage to play it for 3 hours though? Did you go through the entire game, cos usually I just use the magic flute to get to the better worlds like 6 and 7 (not 8 though, that is too hard).
Has anyone seen the video of super mario 3, where this guy does the entire game in about 11 minutes. It's done on an emulator, so the guy will have slowed it down while playing, but still, it's a work of art.

If it's possible, I think this movie is underrated. I liked it 10 times more than Vanilla sky at least, and it had similar concepts. It may just be that I'm remembering it more kindly since it's been a while, but I remember really enjoying it. The great performances will justify rewatchings. Thanks for reminding me the dvd is out, I need to pick up this and Adaptation.

Yesterday was a great day to top off a great weekend. Went to Boston to visit my gf, and apart from a 3 day theme of "mediocre dining experiences", including the 24 hour Krispy Kreme shop that was closed when we got there at 4 a.m., we had a blast. Introduced some people to Fight Club, played some games, did some stuff. FUN. Yankees clinched their division with super-awesomeness, the Giants won, the Bills...well they're still the Bills. (49ers are my team but...I mean it's just masochism at this point.)

Then, everything came to my house at once. Bought on Friday of last week and shipped saturday, my live wireless adapter came monday. So did a bunch of other ebay items I picked up late last week, unexpectedly. My court date was also moved to Wednesday, so I had time to play. And with the purchase of the music mixer my brother and I had a huge blast. That and my burnout 3 soundtrack is now almost complete, yay. Played burnout 3 until 3 a.m., played with some good guys, had a blast, and the football game was good. Tonight will be just as good, with a free schedule and dinner out on my parents. Awesome.

  10. Yesterday was a great day.

My buddy's site launched, Opie and Anthony went back on the air (XM Radio), I got praised at work, and I gave my woman the business. Real good.
