Halo is so slow, it would be extremely difficult to miss with a proper kb/m setup. Not to sound like a pessimist, but wouldn't being able to hit any shot for free make the game slightly less fun? Basically, as soon as a kb/m player saw a S player, he would be able to maintain upperbody/headshot (probably headshot if he was a regular player) with near 100% accuracy. Then does the game become a contest to see who first see's movement? Halo still confuses me, its the only super popular 1 gun shooter.

Bungie has stated that they want every XBOX live game to be as evenly matched as possible. That means that they are going to match up gamers on the basis of their statistics. Therefore all the people on Live with a K/B and mouse are going to inevitably end up playing one another if they consistently dominate. Casual gamers who log on just for a good time with their S-controller will probably end up playing someone with an S-controller. If you want to be on LIVE and be at the top of the ladder, no doubt you'll need a M+K. But the people who play enough to get to the top of the ladder are clearly going to be the minority, and I suspect will have no problem spending $30 dollars on an adaptor. If you do play well enough with your S-controller to end up in competition, good for you. But casual gamers with their S-controllers will probably rarely ever get matched against someone who's hardcore enough to have actually gone out and bought a $35 adapter and whos prepared to invest the time to make it high up on the ladder. This will produce a natural segregation of Live into K+Mouse players and S-controller players, much as baseball is divided into the Majors, Minors, AAA, etc. This is why S-controller players shouldn't worry too much.

I'll take on anyone playing with KBM using an S controller in Halo without any complaints. I lose I lose--but I probably won't, because I'm too good at that game.

Honestly, the controls in Halo are so good that I don't think my game would be improved with a KBM setup. I never have a problem with the controller anymore.

You can't honestly believe that your game wouldn't improve with mouse/keyboard set-up. Do you play FPS's on PC at all?

Just ordered one from Lik-Sang. They tested with Halo 2 and no probs so far. Hopefully it works as good as the reviews it is getting

And I think that MS should ban it from XBL. Keep everything level.

Seriously, and MS should ban Driving Wheels for PGR2/RSC2 because that gives people an advantage and, while they are at it, ban bigger TV's, since that would give someone an advantage of seeing things easier.
