A typical Monster Cable is what, $40? And 60% off of that is $16, right?

That shit probably costs them 37 cents to make. Theyre making a shitload off you.

I know. That's why I'm not giving them any.
The prices are actually fixed at every store, no matter what. The margins are insane regardless, from what I remember. This really disgusts me.

That's a lot different than this situation with Monster's king of all insane lawsuits.

The World Wrestling Federation had an agreement with the World Wildlife Fund that they wouldn't use the initials "WWF" to promote their company outside of the United States (where they'd have to use their whole name instead), since the Fund had the copyright on thew initials "WWF" first. The Fund was actually being nice in the situation, since they could have just forced them to change their name in the first place. The World Wrestling Federation then became dicks and completely ignored their side of the agreement for years and years, until finally the World Wildlife Fund got pissed and decided to give Vince McMahon a spanking.

A shame that is. I don't like "World Wrestling Entertainment"- that sounds so meh. The WWF should've just stuck to the agreement. It did make for an interesting headline in one game magazine (EGM, I think), who put "Get the F Out" in one of their sidebars.

Back to Monster Cable- I think there needs to be an inquiry into their price-fixing crap.

I've never been happy with anyone else having the name "James". If anyone wants me I'm at the copyright/trademark offices, and then it's lawsuit time.

I knew monster sucked from the moment I needed cables for my xbox and they struck a deal to be the only ones selling optical cables that only worked if you got their component brand.
