How exactly were you cheated? I was unaware that you could cheat in Halo 2.

Someone hacked the new maps, just the new ones. Bescially, you download these hacked map packs instead of the real map packs from bungie. Then when you play matchmaking you only play the new maps so if you play head to head, skrimish, slayer or double team you play warlock, when you play big team you play containment and when you play preview you play warlock, turf and sanctuary. But that's only half of it, when you play on these maps you have auto aim, super speed, toughness and extra strong shots. So basically these kids fly around the map at a million miles an hour and as soon as you pop into their field of vision they auto lock onto you and it takes only two shots with the BR to kill you.

I've actually seen a video of someone playing with the hacked maps and auto aim, and it was kind of rediculous. They wouldn't even be facing the person they were shooting, and would get perfect headshots. I forget where I saw it from, but when I find it I'll definately post it.

All of these hacks are easily detectable while playing on Xbox Live, so I don't doubt for a second these people won't be banned for using them. Cheating will never be as rampant in this game as it was before the auto update, but obviously it will be there. No game is cheat free, and Halo 2 is no exception to this which is why I don't get why people over react when they are cheated against. It's a fact of life if you play games online, people will cheat and it will effect your experience playing the game negativly, this is nothing new.

I've come back from a banning twice, cost me $10 total. They'll keep it up.

Register for the MLG forums and go to the video section. One of the threads there has a video of one of the biggest cheaters. The guy playing in it is like a level 40 and everytime he spawns he dies before he moves, not matter where he is. It's nuts, and exactly what I experienced.
