Fable 1.01

According to this site fablemod.com some people have put together a save file that changes fable.

Here is the info on it:

Fable 1.01 is an all out game play save. You can hunt for Leviathan buried treasure (with hints to find it strung all across Albion), you can find the Sword Of Aeons, the Harvester (most powerful ranged weapon), and many other hidden things. You can hire body guards (like Maze, Scythe, Thunder and a few others). Also, there's MANY more enemies to fight. It much harder. There's other little things here and there that you can check out as well, like Fatum's statue.

Ok, you can now download the saves via the main page at www.fablemod.com in the "Game Saves" section. Enjoy.

PS. Fable 1.01 is still being tested and wont be out until this weekend. Later everybody!

Scythe was talking about a massacre he did and Thunder said he didn't care, (I dont think they like each other very much) Then Thunder went on 2 talk about how Scythe didn't care about anyone.LOL this chick just asked for Thunder weapon.LMFAO this is like a comic stand up, i wonder what twinblade is like......(This all actually happened) - From a tester

I currently do not own an action reply and I am not sure its worth spending 30-40 dollars on it for this download to work.

Not sure if you guys were familair with it. I had additional questions that I posted to their site but nobody has answered them


1. Do you need a modded XBOX in order to use the Fable 1.01 save file or will any XBOX work?

2. Is there any potential risks of using the Fable 1.01 save file that could cause problems with your XBOX?

3. I was reading through the steps to save the Fable 1.01 to your Action Reply Memory Card then you have to boot up your XBOX with the tray open to copy your personal save files over to the action reply , then you delete your save files from your XBOX, then you copy your save files with the Fable 1.01 save file back to your XBOX. So does the file change my personal save files or is the Fable 1.01 save file its own save file that starts you at the beginning of the game?

4. Do my personal save files change too?

I thought I'd dig it even after my first play, which lasted a whole 2 days. I keep wanting to love this game, but I just can't. Interesting mod/save/whatever going on there though.

Yeah The Fable boards in gamefaqs use to move so fast you could not read all the topics. Now its dead. I would like to at least try this Mod / Change but I am not sure if you need a modded XBOX and I do not have an Action Reply Device. If I hear any more news on it I will post it here.

I thought I'd dig it even after my first play, which lasted a whole 2 days. I keep wanting to love this game, but I just can't. Interesting mod/save/whatever going on there though.

I liked the voice acting, I enjoyed the battle system, and the graphics were good. The entire game just failed in so many ways from it's original target, though. What happened to the thick woodland brush in the first few screenshots that we were going to be able to frolic in and fight balverines in? It's sad because the game had so much potential, and Big Blue Box just blew it.

I still like the game. I'd give it an 8.1.

I read a little on this. Fable save files are strange because they save an instance of pretty much everything you ever interact with. This mod is possible because it modifies those instances. So you won't need a modded xbox, but you will need an action replay to access the save, according to the people who made it.

Thats good to know. I still am not sure I want to buy an action replay just to use this save file. I commend the programmers for trying to enhance the fable experience.

2. Absolutely none.

3. No, it does not change your files. You can always back your other saves up to your PC using action replay. Yes, it starts out right after training.
