The only difference I see is some moderately better textures in the Halo 2 screenshot.

Looks like alot better lighting too. Seriously, I can't look at those two screenshots and say "they look just like each other." It doesn't matter anyway. Props on guessing what is most likely the right release date for this.

You almost think they have to move it Xbox 2. A new Halo is the only launch title MS could come-up with to see systems. Unless they have been working on Halo 3 at the same time as Halo 2, they could never have a new one done in time. Perfect Dark isn't going to sell systems.
From a marketing perspective they would be smart create an enhanced multi-player Halo with new maps and move Halo 2 to Xbox2.
You get your killer launch app and you keep the sharks at bay, by throwing them a bone.

Currently, I like my Halo's to be on an Xbox that I like. If rumors of the Xbox 2 are true.
