I feel foolish. It makes good sense. Missing "The Ark" reference was pretty dumb. Once I start reading the books I'll actually start thinking about the story instead of throwing out stupid comments.

Eva was indeed a mindfuck at times. It was a large part of my last 2 years of High School. Good stuff, I've seen it about a billion times.

The relation to Halo is similar at times, I'll agree.

Actually, DNG explained that I believe. "Durga" was an AI aboard the UNSC ship, Apocolypso. I may be totally off (DNG might be able to piece it together), but the Apocolypso was taken down by a Covenant fleet, on it's way to Earth at the same time the Chief and Cortana attempted the slipspace jump with the crystal. Durga was fragmented, split into pieces. Part of her crash landed in the current time, year 2050 onto one Jersey Morelli's datapad. The other part crash landed in our current time, 2004 onto an internet server, hosting the website ILoveBees.com.

Durga came with two programs. The SPDR and the Pious Flea. In the event that Durga was damaged, the SPDR's job was to repair her, kind of like a defragging program in a way. The intentions of the Pious Flea, I don't believe we ever found out. In any event, the Durga that crashed in our time was rampant. Under control of the Pious Flea, she destroyed the SPDR and began transmitting outwards from the server (See: The payphones).

Eventually, in both times, she heard a voice. The Sleeping Princess. The Princess was the better half of Durga you could say. You see, Durga is a smart AI, just like Cortana. Smart AI's are just built, manufactured like other AI's. Their systems are built on the flash clones of human brains. For the most part, dead humans, since the procedure is highly risky. Smart AI's can think independently. In terms of the way they can think, they're practically human. The only difference is that they can fix their emotions to the way they want it and they they don't have the memories of their former host.

That last part is odd. The voice that Durga heard, The Sleeping Princess was in fact, her past. The Sleeping Princess was the child that had been left behind. That girl was Melissa, one of the children choosen for the SPARTAN II program. She was one of the unlucky ones who didn't make it through the program.

Through transmitting and gathering herself in our time, Durga collects herself in her time, and through her new friends, eventually links together a chain of events that lead up to the Covenant attacking approaching Earth on November 4th, 2050.

And I left out a lot of stuff and managed to just end up rambling but hey, now you know the story of Durga.
