Just watched this as well, and it was god awful. Its just a really really annoying movie. The TV show is fantastic however. Its so odd how off the mark this movie is when its from the exact same guy who did the show. And I agree it should have been a Borat movie, because Borat is a god.

Well, he didn't have unsuspecting people to play off of. Cohen seems to work 10,000x better when he has to rely on his wits and think on the fly than when everything is scripted.

Remember when the Jerky Boys were popular, and they went and made a movie? It tanked. You can't take an improv act and drop it into a totally different context like that. It never works. The Jerky Boys are different from Ali G however, because they sucked to begin with.

This movie is serious pain. Can't say I didn't warn ya.

I'm not a fan of the Jerky Boys movie but I have to respect that it's a bit of a cult hit along with the likes of Joe's Apartment and countless Pauly Shore movies. Their albums were pretty fucking great as well (the first two at least). Face it, they were a phenomenom....for about 2 years.
