Considering making a trip to Radio Shack and putting one together myself...

That's my problem... and there's a level of confusion as to what model Genny the cables are for from the descriptions.
If you can't find any one eBay, try sega.parts.com. They should have some minty new ones.
If you can get in touch with Matt, he may be able to mod it for s-video. You won't go back after that.
