It's a 3-D beat-em-up. The genre is so rare nowadays that it interests me, but the fact that there hasn't been ONE GOOD Dragon Ball game EVER disheartens me.
The Super Famicom had Super Butoden 2 and DBZ Hyper Fighting -- two games that were pretty good IMO.

  3. Hyper Dimension was pretty good, but what really irked me about it was the overuse of the "Dodge by going into the background and smack you as I come back to the foreground" thing.

  4. Supposedly a lot of the Japanese only titles have been good but just as many have sucked. Some of the SNES RPG Dragon Ball games look pretty cool, there's ROMs out there but they're not translated so no real purpose in playing them.

That had me rolling the first time I saw it on CN. Up until then I'd only seen the first couple of sagas subbed from my buddy's tape collection.

What ticks me off is that they still use that. Such retardedness.

  9. Super Butoden 3 is probably the laziest, most incomplete cash-in title I have ever played.

Super Sonic Warriors is a 2D GBA fighter that came out this summer. It plays a bit like Capcom's Marvel fighters from what I understand and was actually made by Arc System Works (of Gulity Gear fame).

...and here's some shots from Banpresto's excellent looking beat 'em up Dragon Ball Advance Adventure...
