Thread: Dragon Ball Z: Sagas

  1. Wow that bottom game looks amazing.

When is it coming out, or has it come out already?

That makes no sense. DBGT is shown an hour and a half before adultswim. You think they would let the word"hell" go. The FCC has animated shows by the balls.

Gamefaqs said that it came out two weeks ago in japan.

Actually, the censored "HFIL" was done by Pioneer/Geneon when it still had the rights to the show. Back then, Pioneer was a regular butcher, and cut up the show pretty bad (To the point of splicing episodes together to kill some of the meaningless drag) in order to make it appropriate for the saturday morning fare.

Is there a stipulation in the FCC's mandates that no cartoon use the world "HELL"?

  6. Am sure they have said hell before in every adult swim anime. even super milk chan

  7. What makes you think the FCC has anything to do with that and it is not solely a judgement made by Funimation?

  8. Cable operates under different regulations than broadcasting, and DBZ was originally a network braodcast show on Saturday mornings. The word "Hell" most definitely did not apply, neither did it apply when Funimation bought the rights to the show and aired it on daytime cable television.

  9. If the FCC wasn't around then they wouldn't censor crap as much I think

  10. Remnant, you have to understand. The FCC is a governing body that represents the US citizen's OWNERSHIP of the airwaves. That's right. No company, government entity or single person owns the airwaves, the PEOPLE do.

We choose representatives that help run the FCC, and ergo, our representatives choose what will air, and in what manner.
