Weren't there game mags that gave "reviews" of these games that never got finished, like Red Star? I wonder what they were reviewing - a 70% finished game?

No, I think Red Star was finished but it just never got published. Sort of like Street Syndicate Racing, it was finished it and then it took almost an entire year (or something crazy) to find another publisher and actually get it on shelves.

Not just kiosk, OXM had one. It was pretty good but I don't think it's that big of a loss. I think OPM might have had a demo too.

I have the OPM one.
It's fairly entertaining, but I wouldn't drop $39 or $49 on it.
Electric bug
I'd have happily paid $30 for Red Star, but the $50 it was supposed to come out at was just too much. Then, like for example Transformers, it'd drop to $20 in a few months and I still wouldn't buy it because the thrill is gone.
