    Yes.

Moving bodies was in the Xbox version of WoH. It's funny, since you could bait enemies with dead bodies.
I always just use the poison rice. Luckily your enemies seem to have no qualms about eating food they find on the ground.

I do not know how swimming worked in Tenchu 2, but in this game if you jump in water it seems like everyone in a three mile radius hears it. You can hide under the surface of the water indefinately though, so unless somone is in immediate viewing distance you are usually safe in water.
It was exactly the same in T2...you jump in the water, SPLASH, "WHAT WAS THAT NOISE?!?!". Swimming was pretty much useless. And you could use a breathing tube to hide. I'm hoping in the new game you can actually slip in and out of the water silently. Swimming and finding underwater shortcuts would be nice, too.

Korly: Yeah, I censored it myself. The forum has not gotten that bad... yet.
That was amusing. But I think it's only bad if you're using the term in vain.

My biggest problem with these "tatcital stealth action" games is that you do a lot of sitting around waiting for something to go right or waiting for a location to cool down once you screw up. I swear, they should give the player an ability to speed up time to reduce all of the waiting.
You should see that game Spy Fiction...the amout of waiting you have to do if you get spotted is insane.

  3. Hopefully the game will have an option for both English and Japanese dialogue like the previous game did.

I have the Japanese version, but never got that far into it; it's definitely a nice improvement over Wrath of Heaven though. The import is FULL of Kanji that I don't feel like attempting to look up, so I'm definitely looking forward to the U.S. release.

BTW, where can I find Japanese Action Replay 2 codes? I'd love to try some out in this game, especially the codes that let you play as any character.

Better level design, AI seems to be at least a little bit smarter, etc. I read that From Software helped K2 out with the game's design, and if that's true, it definitely shows.

2005 is going to be a good year for Ninja action games. The developer of the original Tenchu and Tenchu Shinobi Hyakusen, Aquire, is doing a brand new ninja game very similar to Tenchu for the PS2 and PSP, and Tenchu is also coming out for the PSP. Can't wait.

  7. Wrath of Heaven really wore out on me near the end, but I'll still give this one a shot.

  8. Why do people still care about this stupid series? It has been the poor man's stealth game for like 8 years now. The PS2 Tenchu did nothing to fix the flaws of the older games, and this one wont either. And now that you got Ninja Gaiden, this game cant even get by on the fact that youre playing as a ninja (the only character that would be better would be a pirate). So its worthless. Yawn.

It's possible to enjoy more than one stealth series. Believe it or not I like Tenchu, Thief and Metal Gear. They're all different and the only weak Tenchu game was the second one. I like the fact that that ninjas don't carry codecs and they perform extremely satisfying stealth kills. I'm hoping that Red Ninja game coming out in March is good too.

I dunno man, the way he held his sword behind his back was really cool. Plus, there were sharks in the water on the final stage, SHARKS!
