3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
Thats the one that concerns me, like a virus, or something NOT good for my computer, or something I DONT want.. it just accepts it ??
I think i will wait until i find that out before i do step three..
anyone wanna help with what this means exactly?

Your browser will always act on what it reads unless you have some other failsaif to prevent it from doing so (virus detector, whatever). All that value means is that it processes things right away like pictures or words instead of holding them. At least that is my interpretation of it.Originally Posted by Chemist

That breaks HTTP spec you know. And it causes fucking mayhem on the server side of things. Not a good idea.
(the http pipelining requests thing, it should be at like 8 or so for http 1.0 and 10 for http 1.1)
So are you saying it gives you a massive headache? Because if so, that's more then enough reason to use it.Originally Posted by cka

I could really care less how many http requests you set it to use. But it will take the server down (or at the very least, kick up the "server too busy" error more often), and you can have fun explaining why you're doing it to everybody who visits.
So this is a bad idea? i take it,
and it really isnt helping my connection at all

it makes your connection better at the expense of the server.Originally Posted by Chemist
