Funimation Announces DBZ First Two Seasons!

I know Funi is rereleasing the show in boxes with uber-quality. I don't see what the problem is.

The problem is the fact that they've been released before and a lot of fans took it in the ass and paid $20 for a zillion volumes with 3 eps each on it.

LOL you guys are so clueless. The reason there's a big backlash going on right now is because Funimation has decided to do the unthinkable! They have cropped the picture for this release, cutting a big chunk of the top and the bottom of the image, and then labeling it as "widescreen". The amount of content missing in each frame is SIGNIFICANT! Check out these pics and threads:

I'm not being a dick to you guys, I'm just pissed off right now, and want everyone to be aware of what's going on. It makes my blood boil when I see people saying that they're still gonna buy these dvds despite the huge screw up. It's like they're still willing to give funi their money after getting raped by this release and falling for their deception.

And no, the show was not shot in 16:9, it was shot in 4:3. They deliberately CROPPED the original 4:3 frame and labeled it as "widescreen"!! That is a HUGE deceptive tactic on their part, and should not go unnoticed! This is the WORST thing they could've done to the show.
