I scanned the first 2 pages of the [Cybermorph] overview. I figured that would be enough info, to show that it didn't sound like someone on acid. Anyways, here are the remaining pages.

I think it sounds exactly like someone on acid. All the talk of 'studying' and playing for hours can only be done when you're too fucked up to tackle complex tasks.

Im on mobile or i would post the pic, but early on in the thread dole scanned the comics where gamefan blew up and most of the old crew died.

Is Halverson's resurrected Gamefan magazine still around? The Barnes and Noble in my area never carried it and also stopped carrying Edge and Games tm. They still get Retrogamer, which is nice.

Hey, dude. The magazine is supposedly still going, but from what Wesley tells me (the current Managing Editor), it's bottle-necked at the printer waiting for funds... which is a crock, if you know how magazines go to print.

I'm James Bacon, the former managing editor of the magazine. I was only on for two issues, but I had to get out. Most of the stories you'd ever heard about Dave Halverson are, unfortunately, true. It's sad to experience it first hand. He's a good man, by my measure, but good lord, the demons on his back... I've nowhere near the depth and breadth of exposure as some of the others here, obviously, and I tend to be more optimistic than most, but I won't candy coat the truth. Dave can be difficult. He promises a lot, and just doesn't seem able to deliver... even where a regular paycheck is concerned.

Oh, incidentally, this is Captain Vegetable. Some of you will remember me. Others not. Say "hi" if you care to. Funny how small a world we live in. :-)

I have very few stories to share, but I'd be more than happy to part with them, if you'd all like to hear. Let me know, and I'll get to the telling.

In the meantime, Rob Duenas (the former Art Director for the new GameFan) and I have begun work on a magazine of our own. I won't presume to link it, here, but again, if there's interest, I'd be happy to share it.

Take care, boy-O's. I'd say "I'll be more frequent" like I usually do when I take up my check-in, but that never seems to work out so well. I will say, however, that I'll try. :-)

Also, Shidoshi, we both make appearances on ++Good Games. I'm their new third host. I haven't had the fortune of having Anthony introduce us, but I'm sure it'll happen soon enough. :-)
