Gamecube=Genesis because they both start with G
PS2=TG16 because they both have numbers
Xbox=SNES because the other two are taken
Seriously, there are similar qualities in all of them, so I don't see the point.
If this was the 16 bit era, what system would be comparable to the SNES, the Genesis, and the TG16? I think that ps2 would be the Snes mainly because of the popularity of the system. It gets the hot titles first and it's in the most homes. The Xbox would be the Genesis because it has the most Sega titles. It's not the weaker system but probably the least appreiciated of the two. The Gamecube would be the TG16 because it has great original titles, but it seems like no one pays any attention to it at all. What would be your choice any why?

Nothing is equal because videogames are a multi-billion dollar industry now, and the two main competitors (Sony and MS) are multi-faceted corporations, whose main revenues do not involve the sale of video games.

PS2 = Genesis because all the cool kids have a PS2.
GC = SNES because the GC's library consists of franchises that appeared on the SNES.
XB = TG16 because the XB targets an older audience.
PS2: PC Engine, since it came first out of the three. PC Engine took off like wild fire in Japan, while PS2 took over the world.
Xbox: Genesis, for having the fastest processor of the three and a considerable bit of Sega support (esp. Out Run 2).
GCN: The SNES, since it's Nintendo. Mario and F-Zero have made return appearances here.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
Sort of a history question.. the PC Engine didn't really take off like wildfire at first, did it? I'd always thought that it didn't fare that well until R-Type came along.Originally Posted by gameoverDude

I don't really see any comparison between the TG 16 and Genesis with the GC and Xbox.

The GC is vaguely (ever so vaguely) related to the PC Engine, in that it uses an NEC-manufactured chip.
That's... about it.
