I have two small children and grew up with Pit Bulls, the problem is that "thugs" get these dogs and beat, tie up and abuse these animals to a great extent.. they want the dog to be unsociable and mean.

Yeah, my girl cried when she read JMET's post. I like to make jokes about "it's only an animal" to get on her nerves, but when it comes down to it a pet isn't a fucking convenience. Well, at least, it SHOULDN'T be. The poor dog in the ad was clearly a convenience to its owner.

We were watching Animal Planet on the flight and they had a special on, "Growing Up: Clouded Leopard." Those are the cutest damned things. Deep down, I get all fuzzy and warm inside when I see animals. Hehe.

My neighbour had a boxer crossed with a great dane. It was like, a fucking giant boxer. Beautiful dog, loved playing with people, but one day another dog came along and was agressive towards my sister, so it went apeshit and ripped the dog to shreds. I'm pretty sure it was put down after that.

I have the most retarded, pathetic, sickly dog on earth and I love it to death. Its got 2 teeth, a skin disease which used to make her bald from scratching, its tongue hangs perminently out of the right side of its mouth, and it likes to try and fuck my cat, despite the fact that its a bitch.

So my girl and I had decided to ignore the person who failed to watch our pets since we really didn't know what to say to her. Last night, however, she came by the apartment and we were forced to talk to her. I let my girl do all the talking since I had some take-home work to finish.

The story sounds like B.S. to me, but apparently the district manager for the apartment (it's owned/run by a fairly large property company) somehow forced her to leave the property. She had her sign some sort of form and then took her keys and told her that she wasn't allowed on the premises. She supposedly tried to call and left several voice messages that my girl never got and she also said she told the apartment manager to take care of our pets for her since she wouldn't be there. The apartment manager, of course, has a different story which is derogatory towards the girl.

My girl believes her. The girl isn't the brightest bulb, so I guess it's possible that she just went along with this nonsense and screwed our pets over. In any event, I'm going above all of this high school bitch crap and calling the company that is responsible for the apartments to inform them of the asinine things going on and of my intent to press charges against both the district manager and apartment manager for the neglecting of my pets, since the former made the person who was supposed to watch them leave and the latter did not fulfill her promise to the person.

Sounds like bullshit. I dont know why the apartment manager didnt tell you guys that when you asked her instead of saying your friend just went on vacation to Arizona or whatever. And if your girl was that good of friends with the person who was supposed to be watching your pets - I'm sure the friend would've found a way to get ahold of you guys given the situation.

And what did the girl do to get kicked out around the holidays? She should have told the disrict manager about her obligation to watch your pets or something.

We found out yesterday that the DM was making her leave as a punishment for being late (on a day that her car was stolen) when a tenant needed medical assistance. The guy hurt his hand and was bleeding and complained to the DM that the girl wasn't at work. Wouldn't you call 911 if you were bleeding? Anyway, this was not explained to her at the time, however - she just found out why yesterday. On the day in question, the DM just angrily shuffled her out with very few words. She briefly spoke to the apartment manager, who said that she would take care of our pets in the girl's stead. Promised. Girl was not to come back on the premises until the 4th. She went to her parents' house in Santa Clarita, CA. Not Mexico.

She definitely did NOT try hard enough to get in touch with us, but I guess since she trusted the apartment manager to handle things, I can forgive it.

In any event, the apartment manager did NOT take care of our pets and then lied directly to me about where the girl had gone, probably to make us even more upset. We then found out that the apartment manager is leaving and will be replaced very shortly, so she probably thinks she has nothing to lose.

Well fuck that. I'm awaiting a call back from the DM's supervisor or the owner (may be one person). I'm going to inform them of my intent to press charges.

They messed with the wrong person. It takes a LOT to run my fuse down. I mean, a LOT.
