Were there any good mods for Battlefield Vietnam?

Just wondering, 1942 was eventually redeemed by Desert Combat (and later grew on me itself), so I'm curious if BFV ever got some decent mods. I looked on Planet Battlefield and found a few, but there was no descriptions of them.

From what I was able to read in the forums there it looks as though BFV has turned into the red haired step child of the battlefield universe, with people sticking with 1942 until Battlefield 2 comes out.

Well, there was the mod that turned BF:V into Battlefield 1942 It converted 3 maps I think. I'm sorry to say but the game has NO redeeming value. Go back to Desert Combat.

The original Battlefeild 1942 was amazing. Desert combat only enhanced what was already there.

Agreed. I still play on occasion. BF2 is what I'm really waiting for. Desert Combat on steroids!

Sorry for bringing up such an old thread but I found it accidentally through google when looking for something else.
I believe there are some great mods out there for Battlefield Vietnam that make Desert Combat just look retarted. My favourite is Point of Existence but I'm biased because I work on the developers team. Seriously though; check it out because the graphics level and gameplay balance far exceed anything that was done on the Battlefield 1942 engine and many say that our graphics already exceed Battlefield 2 in many areas.

Unfortunately we are limited by a poor rendering engine and really limited scenery however that is due to the poor BF:V engine. Our vehicle models are lower in GFX load and higher in detail then BF2's.

I also challenge you to find an ingame screenshot of a vehicle from BF2 with a skin as detailed as the BMP2 you think is so funny.
