If it was a "gimmick," I really don't think it was a one on our parts. Most of the staff didn't know about it until the issue was printed and somebody noticed it.

Gamefan was probably the most popular gaming mag in the early and mid 90's. Wolf was the artist all of those years....And drew many cool, distinctive covers as well as the comics and avatars...Pretty damn good credentials if you ask me. So where are your credentials?

That is some mother fucking art right there you babbling idiot. Someone right from our board. Would FF saying Wolfs cover art sucks make the argument any different to you? You don't have to be an amazing artist to say something looks half assed when it does.

Well, you didn't ask, but mine are in the fact that I have a B.F.A. in Illustration and Wolfie had a bad day.

Realize, he probably could've done A LOT better under different (paying) circumstances. I understand the argument that it's a commercial magazine and blah blah blah blah, but you have to focus on what puts food in your mouth.

Furthermore, since when does anyone need "credentials" to criticize? You would've fit right in in the U.S.S.R. when Stalin was around.

That's too bad that you didn't get more out of Gamefan than that.

I got a lot more out of Gamefan than that. They're the ones that got me to purchase Mischief Makers, which I bought an N64 to play and is one of my favorite games. They showed off a lot of games to me which I otherwise would've passed up or never heard of and enjoyed, they were a great magazine in a lot of respects.

Their layouts and design, however, were amatuerish. In fact, I'd say the Mischief Makers cover was one of their better ones, and that was basically just just some official art slapped together.

So where are your credentials?

Going by that logic, you're not allowed to criticize me since I have posted a number of things in our art board and you haven't.

But since you're really wondering, here are a couple of the quick sketches I made that got posted in our art dump thread. Any of my finalized art wouldn't be as good as FF's especially since he's amazing at color, and I need a new scanner, but yeah. One of these days I should really get around to making a complete piece, it's been a while.

p.s. Rezo, FF, and Kaneda are all better then me. Rezo could make some awesome covers.
