I just saw the recent issue of HGM at the local EB. And it's prominently displayed, not hidden like GameGO! So how is it selling month over month? Not asking for raw numbers, but is the readership growing nicely?
No gnus is good gnus.
I've got the "little jap bastard" issue of Gamefan, that came wrapped. I know they did a few of them,.
And oddly enough, my copies of HGM tend to show up looking like they've been run through a mangle. So much for getting a complete set in good shape.

The first issue came to me wrapped, but a couple since have been damaged. Luckily, it's mainly been limited to the mag being bent.

Same and same, actually. This month's issue came in great condition (and for all the bitching about the cover, it's probably the most interesting issue so far), but previous ones look like a dog played with them for a while before they were delivered.Originally Posted by James
This is why I don't ever get subscriptions to magazines I really care about. I learned this lesson the hard way about ten years ago. I subscribe to PC Gamer and EGM 'cause it is much cheaper and I don't really mind terribly if I miss an issue here or there or they arrive torn and crumpled. But stuff like Play or EDGE or GamesTM or HGM that I really enjoy reading and keeping in good condition, I always buy at Barnes & Noble with my 10% off card. I'm still paying much more than a subscription price but it's worth it to me.Originally Posted by sethsez

What a strange prediction. I can't imagine throwing something away that belongs to my dad.
