The only system I bought for one game was N64 (Mario 64). All the others I knew of two or three games I would want.
The only system I bought on launch day (based entirely on screenshots) was the PS1.
Oh, zing. How about this:Originally Posted by Revoltor

At least it's not Gamefaqs.
No way. That's like the special olympics.Originally Posted by toxic
I must have played Warhawk for 100+ hours. Awesome game back then. So much fun to flip up on one wing and boost like a mofo through the canyon and temple, and the big dogfight over the ocean rocked.
I got GC on launch for Rogue Leader, and Waverace since it was one of my favourite 64 games. GC rev. wasn't so hot though.
PS2 I got for free BEFORE launch thanks to some convoluted shit. Dad said I shoulda sold it on e-bay for 600 dollars and bought one at launch. I should have. It came with SSX tricky and I only kept it to help me make friends in my new neighborhood. But no one believed I had one, so no one came to my house.
N64 I got for...well I don't remember, but the game I cared for most on it was Goldeneye. (Other games = Zelda ooT, Starfox, and MarioKart 64 for the awesome awesome awesome multiplayer.) I didn't get Mario 64 until later, since I played this shit out of it on my neighbor's 64 when it all came out.
Xbox: I finally broke down over Ninja Gaiden, one of my favourite NES games of all time. Riddick intrigued me as well, and I'd always sorta wanted Halo, as Halo PC didn't do it for me, for some reason. All powers combined made me get one.
The other systems I got pretty much as gifts. I didn't even want a ps1, but got it the same christmas as the 64 I asked for in a surprise Grandparental move.
I think there were other factors involved.Originally Posted by Cowutopia

Yeah I always smelled like your mom. Not pleasant.
That's actually not even true, 'cuz I brought the system in to school and everyone was fascinated, so I got a few people over.
Of course, that's not how to make friends. I should've taken the money.

[QUOTE=Clash_Master]Maybe if people would put comments with their lists rather than just typing a list.QUOTE]
Thats what I would like to hear. Not so much just static lists, but the reasoning and stories behind them. I like the lists though too![]()
