Basically.
It's a little different then the game, which was to be expected, but the twelve episodes it takes to tell the story are in many ways better than the hours to play the game. That's coming from someone who liked the game.

I have the first DVD, eventually I'll get the other two. It's a nice supplemental to the game, but I agree it would crash without having either played the game some or watching some of the cinema scenes previously. The LE Movie cut of Episode I or the ripped cutscenes floating on the web can fill in just about any detail the anime series skips.

If you want you can just download em from VEOH...
They host the actual file not just a .flv or whatever version of it.
