Games That Deserve a Sequel (16 bit or older)

I'm a firm believer that if a company hasn't made a sequel to your favorite 8-bit or 16-bit game by now, it's never going to happen.

Punchout!

Herzog Zwei's an obvious choice.

Though not a sequel, was that Unreal Tourney Mod of HZ ever finished?

Besides, Ninja Gaiden and Metroid weren't in the N64/PSX generation, and now they are back full force.

We need to see another Mutant League game imagine a Mutant league Football game using todays Madden engine I'd also love to see another Blackthorne game.

Awesome list.

Someone else brought up Blackthorne. We have some seriously underappreciated games here. The only game that has a chance of being revived is Bionic Commando, probably. Actraiser might be an outside chance. Fun to think of 'what if' isn't it.

Mutant League Hockey (HOCK POOEY on MLF)
Haunting Starring Polterguy (a knock-off of this was released for the PC, but dang it, I want a full-fledged sequel)
Sub-Terrania (really innovative shooter, I'd love to see something in the same vein)
Captain Commando (I loved this, and it was a great Final Fight knock-off, really well-done level design as well)
3 Count Bout (probably my favorite Neo-Geo game outside of World Heroes 2, and yeah, I know there is no chance for a sequel, a man can dream though, a man can dream...)
