Have you tried finding the file manually, and deleting it. That usually works for me when AVG can't do it for me.
I have 2 files that I thought I deleted but supposedly its still viewable? I cant see it on my desktop, but if I open up SmartFTP and look at my local browser, I can see 2 files that I had deleted. They were ringtones for my phone. Unfortunately, there were some unknown file type. So I deleted them to the recycle bin. But for whatever reason, its viewable on my FTP program. I did a search for the 2 files. Should I worry?
Also, I did a full scan with Norton AV 2005. It finds a trojan called "kgnis.exe" but cant delete it. How do I go about removing this?

OK, I found the file. It was in one of my .rar files for a keygen. I removed the keygen. Now I would like to know about the 2 files that show up in my SmartFTP local browser but cant be found is a manual search or be viewed on my desktop.
I had something like this once off of a music file I downloaded.I would delete the track, clear my bin, the next day I checked my music folder the damn thing would still be there. I think I ended up just dumping the whole folder or something, then it popped up in a seperate folder(which threw me into a rage) where I luckily was able to manually delete it.
But, damn,--- I rant.
I'm not sure Bandit. At the very least this thread gets a bump so cka or somebody can see this and help out.
i dont think i can delete my desktop. Like I said, it doesnt show up in a search or is viewable on the desktop..i only see it on when i open up my SmartFTP local browser. I just dont want it to be a virus or something.Originally Posted by Jetman
