I thought it was horribly designed and felt like a tacked on mess. If they had taken the actual level design from Sonic 1 and made a 2.5d mini-game it would have been a good homage.Originally Posted by ChaoofNee
I'm pretty sure someone here once linked to a Tails/Amy/One of the extra tarded characters Furry picture. I think that killed it for me really.

I enjoyed Sonic Adventure 2 until I had to play non-Sonic levels. If they were optional, I wouldn't give a shit, but they killed the pacing of the game.

Played 'em and hate 'em. Yes, they're 2D, and yes, they're fast (though I never considered this a really important element of the series beyond marketing since my favorite parts were always the slower platforming bits), but the level design is terrible, and that absolutely ruins it.Originally Posted by toby
The level designs are stale by todays standard ,but they are still the best sonic games in years.
Compared to what? I mean, yeah, they're the best Sonics in years, but since the other Sonic games suck that's not really saying much.
Compared to Viewtuful Joe for example. They can be better ,but I still think they are good. Hopefully Sonic team can use the the 3D capabilities of the DS to improve the 2D gameplay.
It'd be nice, but I'm not counting on it. It seems like the only games Sonic Team can get right recently are games without Sonic.Originally Posted by toby
That being said, I'd like Burning Rangers 2, please.
Regardless, I thought it played a hell of a lot better than the rest of the game. I wouldn't mind a game styled like that.Originally Posted by EHN-ZEE-EEE

Everytime I come to this thread, I get the Starlight Zone music stuck in my head. That tune is just so addictive...
