DMC3 vs. God of War

I'm looking forward to DMC3 more, my hopes are high for that one.

DMC3's graphics look better than what I've seen of God of War since I think it could use a better lighting system unless they changed it. GOW does look like badass game, I'll most likely wait out for the reviews to come in (unlike DMC2 which I just rushed to get) and see how they both fare.

I think both games look great. But who knows which will sell more. Does it matter? We all win if they both kickass.

got the GoW demo yesterday and its a pretty decent game. i expected notihng since i didnt read up on it but its pretty badass. the ability to swing the cahin swords, hook and enemy to one and whirl them around is cool, as is the ability toi grab and enemy and just rip them in half. the one boss fight with the hydra was also cool. the damn thing takes you in its mouth and you mash the button to get out. then while youre falling the screen displays QTE type indicators and if you get them all the character goes BERSERK. another time youre fighting the hydra in the inside of the boat and you latch onto its head witht he chains and just bash it against the walls over and over. nothing outstanding but an overall decent game.

dmc i could care less about.

I think God of War has a shot at being the better game, but DMC3 will no doubt have the better sales.

I've never played the DMC series (don't have a PS2), but from movies I've seen, God of War seems to have more focus behind it's design and gameplay (plus it doesn't look like shit). It will likely wind up being the better game.

DMC has name recognition, but that's no garuntee it will sell better. Especially after the unilateral declaration by the industry of DMC2 as utter garbage. Once bitten, twice shy so I imagine their will be a lot of fence sitters when DMC3 hits the shelves.

Yea, because Konami can really make a much better DMC than DMC. Just look at Castlevania LOI for proof.
