  3. Well everyone, thanks for the advice and everything. I took it all into consideration and then looked at the balance in my checkbook and realizing how low it is I decided to go ahead and apply. I really appreciate what everybody had to say and some of you said what I already thought, that alot of it depends on the people you work with. I've had some crappy jobs in the past but the people made it bearable. And hey, at least I can say that it's not Wal-Mart. I have a roommate that works there and his value of humans as a species has gone way down since he started. I'll let you know what happens, and maybe even regale you with a story or two.

Hah. Nah. He's pretty dumbfounded, since we saw him drink it and notice something weird, but he just finished the cup anyways.

I've worked at EB years ago, and as an assistant manager at a fairly respectable
"indy" store for a while about 2 years ago. I would say if your choices are washing dishes or something equally as shitty, take Gamestop. Retail is way caker than most entry level unskilled jobs. But don't think that working around games is gonna be the shit- the parade of fuckwits that you will deal with will boggle your mind. I remember one time, I was trying to sell a group of guys on something good that they'd be happy with- I let them try out at least 6 of the better games for the PS2 or so. Then one of them asks what I thought of some 3DO game, I think it was World Destruction League or something- I told them it was utter garbage, and to prove it I threw it on. 1 minute later, there were about 5 dudes around the screen yelling out how it was the shit, and telling me I didn't know too much about games, did I? I sold 3 copies then and there.
