Yes, there's territory lockout. It's easily defeated with a Saturn Gameshark. No idea on the TurboDuo for lockout, though.

Ok............... here goes,
I hear that in the Saturn version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night there is an additional area not in the American PS1 ver. of the game so............
Me being an insane CV fan I'm interested in procuring a Saturn and a Jp copy of the Sat. CV SotN.
So my real question is, is wether or not there is gay territory lock out crap on the Saturn that will prevent me from playing Jp games on a US Sat. and if there is, how I would go about getting around it.
BTW, I'm also interested in the Turbo Duo Dracula X if anyone can offer some info on playing that or do I just need to get a standard Turbo Duo and the game and play away.
Much thanx to any info.

The 4 in 1 Action Replay cart works fine for me.
All is well.
Dracula X is a highly sought out title. It usually sells for over $100 on ebay, probably even more than that.Originally Posted by Bojack

Apparently the Turboduo is multi-regional so you don't have to worry about that.(CDs only, a mod would be required to play US and JP hucards).
Problem is getting a hold of Dracula X, since it's extremely pricey.
For the Saturn there is a swap trick, though I don't know it(Don't really have to since I own a 4in1 AND a JP-region Saturn). Might try looking that up if you're desperate..apparently it's really easy.
The swap trick doesn't evade region lockout... directly.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
Just for confirmation, yes, there is no territorial lock-out on TurboGrafix / Turboduo CD games.

Holy Hell, there's a swap trick for the Saturn? To what degree does it work?

Thanx for the answers guys.
Anyways, yeah, it really sucks that it will cost me almost as much as an actual system to get the Turbo Duo Dracula X but then again, having a collectors item like that will actually be a good investment if you ask me because I might spend 150 on it and be able to sell it for maybe 200 or something.
Looks like I have hella saving to do.
