  1. Meh California lawmaker revives antigame bill

    I remember playing MK back when it first came out. I was only 8 years old and got pretty good and the game. It was bloody it was gory and it was fun. But I understood that this was fiction it was not reality, it was a GAME.

    My parents would always explain certain things to me when I was younger. I was pretty mature for my age I guess. Either way I havent killed anyone yet J/K.

    No problem with this at all. This is exactly how it should be. If your parents think you're mature enough for it, they can buy it for you.

  9. It does not affect me, BUT the government shouldn't be the ones to control that. Let the retailers choose not to sell games to minors per a voluntary agreement with the IEMA- I'm all for them doing that with no coercion whatsoever.

    One level of government control could easily snowball into another (i.e. M rated games becoming illegal PERIOD).

    An earlier law was passed that requires retailers to display game ratings? That is fine, but don't give them another inch.
