Watched the first two episodes. Pretty awesome. Animation is even better this time around.

Interesting to see that they have invented bricks and cars since the first show. I think it is kind of lame that they are already introducing the relationship/love element by episode 2. Can they make a cartoon with a female lead that isn't paired off instantly?

Aang was paired off with Katara from the first episode of the original run. I don't expect this to turn into much more of a soap opera.

Oddly enough, when I heard the anti-bending leader going on about his scarred face, the second thing I thought of was the faceless demon too. For only being in one episode, that thing made an impression.

The first thing I thought of was, obviously, Doctor Doom.

It would be nice if a cartoon with a female lead did not have romance angle so soon. Ruining the women of tomorrow and all that.

I wonder how far they are going to go with the Hitler angle with the anti-bending leader. They've kind of told on themselves with what period of history they are basing the show on. It is probably 1924/25. The Model T was produced all the way up to 1927, and Hitler was released in 1924 and started to gain support by attacking the Treaty of Versailles

Though I suppose this is an obvious angle to take with the show. In the first show people looked up to benders because they were they only strength they had against the fire nation who was oppressing everyone. Now that industry is taking rise, and power and manufacturing looks to be focused on skills only benders have, normal people would probably get jealous.

I think we all would like to see more of Koh the Facestealer. The first series really lacked too much to do with the Avatar's job of dealing with the spirit world as well. It gave us a sneak peak, but I get the feeling this series will have a lot more of that given Korra's lack of spirituality.

Probably. They've already established that she is bad at everything aang was good at (spirituality being one of those things). It will probably end up being a source of internal conflict (that they can luckily animate) for her to overcome. It will probably also conveniently require her to talk to the spirit of aang
