there's a band i haven't listened to in ages, i'll try to check out the new one.
New Dark Tranquility leaked yesterday. it's pretty good. Stanne does clean vocals on one song and it doesn't make me want to commit suicide, so that's a big plus.
I would suggest downloading the Gorod album instead.
Just thought I'd pass along my discovery that one of metal's most reputable vendors is selling off a surprise stock of the classic Monstrosity debut "Imperial Doom" for a mere $13.
These things usually go for at least $30-$40 on eBay, so they are being quite generous with their asking price.
Here's the store link: http://www.evilmusic.com/store/cdsm.html

Monstrosity - Imperial Doom
It's unfortunate that the band wouldn't release anything else of such a worthy caliber, but better one classic album than none at all, I suppose.
The cover-art for the new Mithras album has gone final:

The album itself is done as well, but Candlelight is, for some silly reason, keeping it from us for another few months. A teaser track is still up on the band's Myspace, for those that haven't heard it: www.myspace.com/domainofmithras

That artwork looks like the side of a 70's Rock and Roll Van.
Boo, Hiss.
Speaking of great deals on classic early efforts by now-worthless bands, it seems that the Candlelight online store is clearancing the first two Aeternus records for $5 a piece:

Both albums come highly recommended for fans of metal with an emphasis on mood and atmosphere.
Rwake - Voices of Omens.
Oh. My. God. This might be the best sludge record since... ever. I mean seriously. Wow.
Boo, Hiss.
