If a music critic only writes incredibly condescending reviews about recent music while praising some old bullshit like Master of Reality then yes, they have no business evaluating anything.

I could do the football one too if you want...
Boo, Hiss.
Nah, I just like music-related straw man arguments the best. I thought Citizen Kane was OK but I'm not much of a movie fan, so I dunno.
I finally got this in the mail today after a month of dillydallying from the douchebag I bought it from:
Needless to say, it fucking slays. It's a great shame that Kraze let it stay out of print for so long. Definitely pick it up if you don't have it already. It's still about $11 over at Amazon. Beats the hell out of the $50-$60 it was going for on eBay before the reprint last month.
Also, the set list for the Immolation/Suffocation tour (stops in Atlanta tomorrow night!):
(in no order)
Burial Ground
Once Ordained
Higher Coward
Swarm of Terror
Challenge the Storm
Harnessing Ruin
Hate's Plague
Passion Kill
World Agony
Shadows in the Light
Whispering Death
Catatonia
Infecting the Crypts
Seeds of the Suffering
Breeding the Spawn
Pierced From Within
Thrones of Blood
Brood of Hatred
Subconsciously Enslaved
Abomination Reborn
Entrails of You
Bind Torture Kill
Liege of Inveracity (encore)

Higher Coward, oh yeah. I saw some recent live footage on youtube of them performing that and one other CTAWB track. You got gypped.
Yes, there was one more "Close to a World Below..." track, but I've already forgotten which one it was. Maybe "Lost Passion" or "Fall From a High Place," if I had to guess.
Great show, as expected, though far from perfect. Immolation won the night easily (thanks mostly to Bob Vigna--respect +10).
I'll write some more when I have the time and energy.
For those who can't/couldn't make it to this tour, Immolation said they will be doing a 20th year anniversary tour this coming February with Rotting Christ, Belphegor, and Averse Sefira, which I hope, will allow for a higher ratio of older songs to newer songs.

I'm interested to hear how Bob Vigna stole the show. He seems kind of goofy from the videos, but I guess that could be more entertaining live.
I'm kind of afraid.Negativa are recording songs for their next release. Guitarist Steeve Hurdle has stated: "We have nearly 75 minutes of new music ready for the album and we're very anxious to share it with all of you. We'd like to warn you that our new songs are nothing like what you heard on the MCD; they're more ambient and emotional."
75 min? THat's a long record. I've always been more a fan of the 20-30 minute action. If you can't get your point across in half an hour gtfo.
Boo, Hiss.
